Stealth Power's scalable energy solutions have been selected to participate in the U.S. Army’s xTechSearch 6 Accelerator and demonstration in March of 2022.
Organized by the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, the competition brings the Army and small businesses together to collaboratively develop innovative dual-use solutions for the Army’s modernization initiatives as well as for commercial applications. The competition is conducted twice per year in both the Spring and Fall. Recipients receive progressively increased funding for advancing to each stage, which totals nearly $800,000 across each competition window. Throughout the competition, participating businesses receive various forms of support from the Army’s Science and Technology personnel. This includes mentorship, training, detailed feedback, and networking opportunities.
To enter, businesses submit white papers describing their technology’s impact to an Army Science and Technology panel. Of these submissions, 50 applicants are chosen to give 15-minute pitches on their technology with the top 20 of these being admitted into the Accelerator program. These 20 businesses are then invited to give proof-of-concept demonstrations to, and receive feedback from, the Army and Department of Defense at the Association of the United State Army Global Force Symposium and Exhibition in March of 2022. The 10 highest scoring competitors will receive $25,000 and be invited to submit to win a Phase 1 Small Business Innovation Research Award of up to $250,000 each.
Stealth Power is excited to demonstrate our modular electric power solutions, which offer light weight, durable, safe, and clean power that can be carried directly into the field by individual soldiers and is capable of being recharged in the field. This will eliminate the need for costly, cumbersome, and polluting equipment and resupplies at the platoon level while limiting added weight to individual soldiers. The modular nature of this technology also enables varying configurations to meet various electrical demands.
Presently, Stealth Power is honored to provide clean energy and savings to government organizations such as the FAA and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. We hope to bring the same innovations and solutions to the Army in order to enhance their modernization initiatives.
