As new law enforcement vehicle designs are revealed, Stealth Power's idle reduction technology is in step with the future of patrol vehicle market.

Stealth Power's Idle-Reduction Technology Is Applicable With Law Enforcement Vehicles

One of the biggest expected updates to patrol vehicles is new engine  technology. Ford's 2017 Hybrid Police Responder offers a glimpse of the future: hybrids that combine cycle gas engines with the power of lithium-ion battery. What makes this combination so powerful, according to Stephen Tyler, police brand marketing manager for Ford, is its idling reduction capabilities. The lithium battery powers the vehicle's electrical needs instead of letting it idle and it recharges itself as the engine runs. This reduction in gas usage and maintenance costs "pays for the extra upfront cost of the hybrid engine in just one year."  This technology is also something Stealth Power already offers with their idle reduction systems. Their mobile power technologies operate police cruiser's auxiliary electrical system for extended periods - including air conditioning and heat, lights, camera, license plate reader, radio, computer and communication devices - without having to idle the vehicle's engine.

Another one of the expected updates for police cruisers is connectivity. As law enforcement vehicles become "rolling computers" with WiFi hot spots, their need for electrical power increases as well. This usually translates into longer engine idling and higher gas usage. With Stealth Power's auxiliary power systems, clean electrical energy can be provided without the running of an engine at all. Instead of having to stop and refill on gas multiple times a day to keep a vehicle online, law enforcement officials can go on with their day, knowing Stealth Power's  systems will recharge themselves as the engine runs.
