From force vulnerability to tactical readiness and environmental toxicity, the Department of Defense’s ability to successfully execute is impacted by every gallon of fuel it uses.

The DoD is one of the largest single consumers of energy globally, and the Air Force is the largest user of fuel energy in the U.S. Government. As the Department continues to reorient itself for great-power competition, the need to build more resilient infrastructure and supply chains has become more urgent.

‍That’s why we’re pleased to announce that Stealth Power has won the SBIR 20.3 (Small Business Innovation Research) Phase 1 award.  

‍AFRL (Air Force Research Lab) and AFWERX have partnered to streamline the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) process in an attempt to speed up the experience, broaden the pool of potential applicants and decrease bureaucratic overhead. Beginning in SBIR 18.2, the Air Force has begun offering 'Special' SBIR topics that are faster, leaner and open to a broader range of innovations.

Stealth Power was selected to presented in three categories for the AFWERX Reimagining Energy for the DoD challenge: Fixed and Mobile Energy Storage, Energy Transmission and Distribution, and New Warfighting and Operational Equipment.

Stealth Power will work to provide mobile power solutions designed to reduce or eliminate dependence on fossil fuels and provide operational and installation power in austere environments. Operating key missions without the use of fossil fuels will simplify logistics and reduce reliance on a single resource.
